Arena Eventing is back!

Arena Eventing is back!

After a huge amount of interest last year, arena eventing is back for a second year running!

Classes include 80cm and 90cm and can be entered individually and in teams of 4.

Thank you to Ideal Financial Management for kindly sponsoring both classes!

This year there will be showjump and cross country fences in the warm up as well as the first cross country fence being in the arena not straight into the woods.

We are also running this same competition at Frickley (2) on the 8th of September.

Entries can be made on BDWP at: http://www.bdwp.co.uk/fru/

In four weeks Frickley Park, in South Yorkshire, will host the Regional Team Under 18 Championship for the third year running, consisting of the Novice under 18 (held at CCIJ1*) and National Saddle Centre BE100u18 Championships. In addition to this Frickley also run a CCIY* and national classes from BE80(T) up to Intermediate Novice.

Competitors from the eight BE regions will compete for the prestigious title of ‘Regional Team Under 18 Champion’ in both the team and individual event. Horses and riders will begin the week with the first horse inspection, followed by a long arena dressage test, and cross country. On the final day there will be a second horse inspection followed by show jumping in reverse order. The under 18 timetable can be found HERE.

Frickley would like to thank their title sponsors Savills for their continued support, alongside the National Saddle Centre who sponsor the BE100u18 Championship. They’re excited to introduce their new sponsors Heck Foods, who will be sponsoring the Novice under 18 Championships and Robinson Healthcare who will be sponsoring the CCIY* for riders 21 and under.

Frickley will also host Senior British Showjumping and Arena Eventing on the Saturday. British Showjumping classes include 85cm up to 1.30m and arena eventing classes include an 80cm and 90cm.

All courses and arenas are being expertly prepared and will be watered until the event to produce perfect going for all competitors. Follow the preparations on the @frickleyparkhorsetrials Instagram and @frickleyparkHT Twitter.

105 Class arrives at Frickley (1) in 2018

105 Class arrives at Frickley (1) in 2018

Following the success of our BE105 classes at Frickley (2) in 2018, Frickley Park (1) will now host a BE105 class in 2018. Designed to aid the transition from BE100 to Novice, it will consist of a Novice dressage test, a 105cm show jumping course and then an enhanced BE100 XC course (i.e. a greater level of technicality, with fences up to 105cm). The class is open to Grade 3 and 4 horses, so with up to 20 Grading Points. This development means that Frickley Park will host BE105 class at both its July and September fixtures for 2018.
